In 2011, Dr. Weisenfels placed an ad in St. Louis Magazine in a special dental issue. After being nominated by his peers, he was named one of the top dentists in St. Louis in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012.

Staff

Joan Risch graduated in 1981 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. Her 30+ years of experience include general dentistry and periodontology. Joan has been a full time hygienist in our office for over 8 years.

Debbie Marting received her dental assisting certificate in 1972 from St. Louis Community College at Meramec. Her past experience includes working for a pedodontist, periodontists, and the cerebral palsy school, here in St. Louis. She has been a full time hygienist in our office for over 15 years.

Donna Lehmann graduated from St. Louis Community College at Forest Park in 1985 with an associate's degree in applied science. During her 20+ years experience in dentistry, one year was spent in dental assisting and 9 years in a periodontal specialty practice. Donna has been working part time in our dental office for over 7 years.

Paula DuBois graduated from Bryan Institute in 1983. She has been working in our office assisting Dr. Weisenfels for over 25 years.

Lucy has been a dental assistant for 17 years. She graduated from Delmar College in 1983. She has been working as an assistant in our office for over 6 years.

Sheila is the Office Manager and has been a part of the Weisenfels team since 2004. She really enjoys working with the patients, catching up on their lives and helping with any dentally related decisions.

Jennifer has been an administrative assistant in our office since 2006.

As an educator, I'm familiar with the grading system and would rate Kurt Weisenfels as "excellent" in all realms-updated service and equipment, painless procedures, friendly and professional staff, hygiene offerings, good reminders- the list is all encompassing! However, he receives my highest academic award for his personal and professional willingness to go above and beyond the ordinary. One Saturday, two and a half hours out of St. Louis in a wilderness area, I bit on a hangnail. My front tooth broke off and fell into my hand. I was horrified when I looked into a mirror! I couldn't believe how significantly one tooth missing could change one's looks. I called Dr. Weisenfels late Saturday evening, left my phone number, and received a call back within the hour. He met me on a Sunday to put in a temporary tooth as I told him I was not going to be seen in public until I had a new front tooth. As a dentist he's superb. His manner has made me a lifelong customer and admirer! It's a dental office I highly recommend.

I came to know Dr. Weisenfels and his staff in spring of 2000 as a patient and consider them today as personal friends. I faced a challenge in the gum area while working in Vienna, Austria. Professional Dentists in the heart of Europe were not able to diagnose properly neither the dimension of the problem nor the steps necessary to treat it. I was then recommended to see Dr. Weisenfels through one of my colleagues. I faxed Dr. Weisenfels my X rays and though he never met with me, he wrote back in detail the steps ahead of me and even searched on my behalf for Austrian professionals who can probably assist me with a purpose to save me the cost of travel. Regardless, I decided to fly to St. Louis. Dr. Weisenfels started undertaking the essential steps to remedy the problem and establish the foundation for a long term treatment. His staff went out of their way to accommodate me in a short period of time and flew back after fulfilling the first phase of the treatment. Dr. Weisenfels drafted for me a plan and a course of action and his staff assisted and coordinated appointments with other specialists. Since then they all followed up thoroughly on its implementation till its successful completion. Today, my job relocated me to St. Louis and I either hear compliments on my smile or people wonder why I enjoy visiting my dentist. I allow myself to rank Dr. Weisenfels and his staff as exceptional and would describe them as conscientious in their profession, compassionate to their patients and most of all brilliant as individuals.

I have been a patient of Kurt's for many years. I got lazy about my dental health for several years and really let my teeth slip. Four years ago I decided that it was time to get serious about my teeth and he went to work...it involved a few crowns and a couple fillings and quite a bit of work by the amazing Debbie who has brought my teeth back to where they should be. I visit her every four months and actually look forward to going to the dentist for the first time in my life. I believe for most people over 60, raised in Webster, the dentist was perhaps one step above a Nazi prison camp...but believe me today it's a state of the art experience that I look forward to every four months. I am so proud of my teeth for the first time in my life and would recommend Kurt and Deb and their office staff to anyone who is the least bit hesitant about going to the dentist. As the old saying goes... You don't realize how good you have it till it's gone. Well, I came to realize just how real that statement was when we moved away from Webster Groves. Our family had been a patient of Dr. Weisenfels for over 10 years. When we moved to Jefferson City I found out how hard it is to find a good dentist. It seemed the few there are here, are all over worked and unavaliable to new patients. The few we did try were just not what we had come to expect from a family dentist. Not all dentists are as caring and knowledgeable as Dr. Weisenfels. Not only does Dr. Weisenfels keep up with the newest technology, but also he has always shown he genuinely cares about his patient's dental health and long-term gum health. We now drive two hours back to Webster Groves just to stay with a dentist we have come to trust our dental health to. We know we can rely on Dr. Weisenfels to care for our family's dental care, he is our dentist of choice.
