Dr. Rosalie P. Nguyen received her dental degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She then completed a General Practice Residency at St. Joseph's Children Hospital and Medical Center in Paterson, NJ while working in a private practice. She further went on to a Pediatric Dental Residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York where she was the Chief Resident. Today, Dr. Nguyen is the founder of Edgewater Pediatric Dentistry; a thriving practice and enjoys being a pediatric dentist in Edgewater, NJ In addition to her training at St. Barnabas Hospital, Dr. Rose has had extensive training at the Rose F. Kennedy Center in New York caring for patients with physical and developmental disabilities. Dr. Rose has special training in treating patients under nitrous oxide analgesia, in-office oral and IV sedation, as well as general anesthesia. Dr. Rose is on staff at Hackensack University Medical Center where she is an attending in the Pediatric Dental Department on the clinic floor supervising and instructing dental residents. As a pediatric dentist in Edgewater, NJ, Dr. Rose is highly respected and well known in Eastern counties of NJ. Dr. Rose is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. The ABPD certifies pediatric dentists based on standards of excellence that lead to high quality oral health care for infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special health care needs. Certification by the ABPD provides assurance to the public that a pediatric dentist has successfully completed accredited training and a voluntary examination process designed to continually validate the knowledge, skills, and experience requisite to the delivery of quality patient care. She is also an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, New Jersey Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Bergen County Dental Society, New Jersey Dental Association, and a Pediatric Dental Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Rose has been named Top Dentists by the Consumer Research Council of America and Mommy Nominated NJ's Favorite Kids' Doc. Dr. Cindy graduated from Mount Holyoke College as a biochemistry major, cum laude. She returned to her home in Bergen County, NJ to pursue a degree in Dentistry from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She was the only one in her class to receive a dual-degree in dentistry and masters in public health. She then received her General Practice Residency at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ. During her residency, her interest in treating the pediatric and special needs population solidified. This led her to complete a fellowship in special care dentistry at the Rose F. Kennedy Center at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY. There she provided dental treatment to children and adults with developmental disabilities. After completing her fellowship,Dr. Cindy received her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Albert Einstein College of Medicine Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY. Her residency training included extensive treatment under nitrous oxide, oral sedation, IV sedation and dental treatment in the operating room. During her residency, she was elected and served as chief resident and was inducted into the prestigious Leo M. Davidoff society, receiving an award for excellence in teaching. She is currently board eligible and is working towards becoming board certified.
