Overview

It takes a rare combination of skill and artistry to create beautiful, natural smiles. Drs. Thomas Marxen and Erica Yang have the artistic ability and experience needed to create smiles that look natural and complement your features.
We are a full-service general and cosmetic dentistry practice. Services include Invisalign®, sedation dentistry, Veneers, teeth whitening, dental implants, partial dentures, lumineers and more! Our patients love the fact that they don’t need a referral to an unfamiliar office for a root canal, an implant, dentures, wisdom tooth extraction or many other advanced procedures.

Assistants

Shellee is one of the smiling faces you will find at Advanced Care Dentistry. She is certified Dental Assistant and have enjoyed working with Dr. Marxen since 1992. It is always her goal to ensure that every patient's visit is made as comfortable as possible.

Carol worked with Dr. Marxen and Dr. Yang since 2007. She appreciate and enjoy all the advancements and technology that we are able to offer our patients.

Debbie have been a part of the Advanced Care Dentistry team since 2005. I am the Hygiene Assistant. Her favorite part of her job is that she is always moving and helping in all aspects of dentistry.

Shirley have been a part of Dr. Marxen's team since July 2003. The comfort of my patients is of the utmost importance to me.

Dr. Marxen love to solve patients' individual problems so that everyone we treat can smile." Dr. Marxen finds it very easy to enjoy his profession because he realizes that people's self-esteem can change by giving them something to smile about. He has a passion and excitement for dentistry that is obvious when you meet him.

He is married to a physician who specializes in Geriatric Internal Medicine at Evergreen Senior Health Specialists.

 Dr. Marxen and his wife have recently returned from a medical-dental trip to Mexico where they provided medical and dental care to the native Indians who live in the mountains.

Dr. Marxen loves to spend time with his family, playing basketball, tennis, skiing, or mountain climbing, and was recently able to spend time at Pacific Raceways with Don Kitch.

Dr. Marxen is an active supporter of many local community functions and is an active participant in the Seattle-King County Dental Society. He is also an active member of Rotary International.Dr. Marxen and our entire team consistently attend continuing education classes to be able to offer the best possible care to our patients.

Dr. Erica Yang

Professional Development 

As a child, Dr. Erica Yang was introduced to dentistry by her aunt, who was a caring dentist. While volunteering at medical and dental clinics, she was drawn to the art and science of dentistry. With her attention to detail and caring personality, it was natural for her to choose dentistry as her career.

Dr. Yang is a native of South Korea, and has lived in the Seattle area since 1991. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Yang enjoys taking her daughter swimming, cooking, and entertaining her friends with her husband.

  • Cell and Molecular Biology Bachelor of Science Degree from The University of Washington
  • Doctorate of Dental Surgery, The University of Washington, participated in Prosthodontics and Endodontic Honors Program

The cost of treatment depends upon your individual situation. All fees and payment options will be discussed before treatment is scheduled. If you have any questions about your proposed treatment or costs, please feel free to ask at any time.

Fees

In an effort to keep our fees low while still maintaining the highest level of professional care, we have established the following financial policy:

  • If you have dental insurance coverage, we will help you determine what portion you can expect your dental insurance to cover. We will file your insurance claim for you and work with your insurance provider on your behalf.
  • We will estimate your portion of the treatment, and ask that you take care of that amount on the date of service.
  • For your convenience, we accept all major credit cards and offer interest-free financing through Care Credit. You can apply for financing through Care Credit here.
