Qualifications

Dr.Rudy Wassenaar graduated from the University of Amsterdam in 1981. Soon after graduating he started practicing in Amsterdam while preparing for the National Dental Examining Board of Canada's Board Examination. In 1987 this process was successfully completed after which he emigrated to Canada. He started his private practice in Williams Lake,BC which offered him the rural life style he looked forward to. From a professional perspective, he enjoyed the challenges and opportunities a rural practice offered, and soon he realized that he needed to master more advanced techniques and procedures to better serve his patients. Dr. Wassenaar is amongst a select group of around 150 Canadian dentists that have been awarded both the Fellowship and Masterships designation by the Academy of Genera Dentistry (AGD) which is an organization comprised of 35,000 dentists world wide dedicated to improving their skills in order to better serve their patients. In recognition of his contributions to organized dentistry on an international level, he was awarded the Fellowship Award from the International Academy of Dental-Facial Esthetics ( IADFE) and has lectured at some of their European international meetings, the latest being in Paris.France ( 2014). Other professional presentations have included New York, San Diego and Chicago and Vancouver BC.
